The latest centre in the TMC network opens next month in Reading, with experienced care franchisees Swati Bagwe and Shipra Mehta adding massage to their portfolio. Amit Mehta will run the day-to-day as operations director.
The duo run two homecare franchises, and on why they’re moving into the massage space Swati said: “After Covid we wanted to diversify a little, but staying within health and wellbeing. We met TMC’s founders Elliot and Charlie, we really liked them and could see the potential.
“There are spas and standalone beauty treatments available but there isn’t a professional mainstream massage provider. Often, massage is very expensive and quality is variable.
“We’re aiming to change that with a welcoming environment, a monthly subscription model and a team of therapists trained to the highest standards. It’s a completely different concept to anything else in and around Reading.”
As for the support in the run-up to opening their centre, she adds: “Both Charlie and Elliot are brilliant. They’ve been doing this for 9 years and it shows when you deal with them – everything is in place. Whether it’s the software, marketing plan, finding a property… it’s all there for you.”
The 2,000 sq. ft centre houses 11 treatment rooms and a team of up to 10 highly trained therapists, and will provide treatments to thousands of customers each month.
